Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth. Fortunately analysis is not the only way to resolve inner conflicts. Life itself still remains a very effective therapist. I have a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor. Life is a long lesson in humility. Life is half spent before we know what it is. And it never easy for those who dream. Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully, or you're not alive.
